70 2024 Sustainability Report Be part of the change As an active part of change, we are committed to promoting meaningful collaborations aimed at developing and disseminating sustainable growth strategies, benefiting not only our industry but society as a whole. The main national and international industry associations we belong to play an important representative role in relations with public institutions and social partners, while providing valuable networking opportunities. Within FEC (Federation of the European Cookware, Cutlery and Houseware Industries), our Quality Manager serves as a senior expert and actively participates in the steering committee. Meetings address strategic issues for the industry, such as food-contact materials and components, areas where international debate is ongoing and awaiting clear, shared regulatory definitions. The association also plays a fundamental role in supporting its members in adapting to new regulatory updates, including the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) and the General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR), providing timely and precise guidance to ensure compliance and competitiveness in the market. We are also active members of FIAC (Italian Manufacturers Association for Houseware, Tableware and Related Items), where since 2024 our CEO Marco Guardini has served as Vice President. During the year, the CAST project (Food Contact, Safety and Technology) was completed. It focused on studying the application of Regulation (EC) 2023/2006 on FCMs (Food Contact Materials), under the scientific supervision of the Italian National Institute of Health (ISS). As members of the expert group, we actively contributed to drafting guidelines for the production of food-contact items, with a specific focus on bakeware, which represents our core business.
