[2] Information on the recycled content of purchased materials is provided directly by suppliers. [3] The weight reported for coated steel includes both the pure steel component and a small percentage of non-stick coating (for further details, see the section on PFAS). Input materials To quantify the input materials used in our activities, we estimated that 100% by weight of purchased materials are effectively employed in the production and resale of our products. Of these, 75% by weight is represented by steel, while 14% consists of paper and cardboard. 100% of the wood purchased comes from recycled material. For steel, the share of recycled content used is 30%, while for plastic the recycled share is 18%. This rises to 26% when considering only plastic used for packaging. Tinplate, on the other hand, contains 15% recycled content. Overall, 83% of the materials purchased are non-renewable resources, including steel, tinplate, borosilicate glass, ceramics, silicone, aluminum, and plastic. The remaining 17% consists of renewable materials such as paper, cardboard, and wood. In total, recycled materials account for around 15% of all input materials.
